After you created or searched for and found an assessment that you want to give to your students, click on the "Assign" button. You can assign to a small group or a whole class.
This opens up a form where you can assign the test to an existing class, create a class, or assign it directly to a student(s).
Clicking on a class will select it and display the class below the selection box. You will notice that I have selected two classes to assign this test to, the Math P3 and P4 classes. If I want to change my selection, I can uncheck the box next to the class to not assign the test to that class.
To create a class, enter the name of the class you would like to create.
You can also directly assign the test to students. Type in their name in the box and then select the name from the drop down menu. Only students already created in Naiku can be found.
After assigning the test to the class, you will see the screen below. This shows you the access code that you need to give to students.
You can also see this access code by clicking on "Watch Progress". In addition, as students start to take the test, this report shows you the students' progress in real-time. You will see which questions have been answered, which have not, and which items have been "flagged" for review by the students, In this view, you can also enlarge the access code if you want to show it to the students on a projector.
If students are using the access code instead of logging into their account, make sure they select their name from the drop down menu. Typing in their name will create a new account for the student that will not be linked to their other account. This will cause administrative problems for both the student and teacher.
