Adding Individual Students to Assessments

In this article, we will look at how to add students to an assessment that has already been assign to a class or other students. This can be helpful when sections of students need to take an assessment at different times and as a teacher, you don't want it to be available to the students.

First, go, edit the assessment and then go to the advanced settings of the assessment you want to add the student(s) to.


From there, type at least three letters of the students first or last name in the box in the lower left corner of the advanced settings window.



Then select the students name from the populated drop down menu. Once selected, the student will be displayed below the search box. This lets you know the students that will be added.


At this point, you can assign more students by repeating the process above, or select "Save Settings" to complete the process and add the student(s) to the assessment. When the student logs in, the assessment will now be available to them. Note that the assessment will not show up under a class in this case since you only assigned it to an individual student.
