Signing into Naiku

Last Updated: Oct 26, 2017 12:22PM CDT
To sign in to Naiku and setup your class rosters with Infinite Campus for the first time, please follow the following steps.

1. Log into Infinite Campus and create a Naiku assignment in the gradebook or planner.  This sample assignment will help you set up and get students familiar with this new process.  Name this new assignment "Naiku Sign-in" and do not choose to accept scores (i.e, don't pass scores back to the gradebook).  Note: follow this link for detailed instructions on how to create an assignment in Infinite Campus with Naiku or watch this video.

2. Per the instructions in the link above, once you've selected Naiku and clicked browse, your Naiku account will open directly into your Assessments page.  From there you can select an existing assessment, or search, create, or import an assessment.  For this, click "Search" and enter "Infinite Campus Sign-in Sample Assessment" in the Assessment Name field, then click Search.  This is a simple one question assessment that will help verify that your students have access to Naiku and your class. From the Search results, click on the assessment and then click "Use this assessment".  Do this for each section (class) that you teach.

3. Ask students to log in to Infinite Campus. Be sure they have Campus Student enabled. Students should click on the assignment to start the Naiku assessment. Follow this link for detailed instructions on how students should log into Infinite Campus to start the Naiku assessment or watch this video.  When students do this, this will verify that your students have access to your class in Naiku.

As a teacher, each time you want to sign in to Naiku (for example, if you want to go into Naiku to create assessments without aligning them to an Infinite Campus assignment), click on the "Naiku Sign-in" assignment you just created from the gradebook or planner, and then click on the name of that Naiku assessment. This will launch you into Naiku to view that assessment. It essentially opens a new browser tab and logs you directly into your Naiku account. From there, you can go to Assessments to create new assessments. You can do many other things in Naiku too, like Close and Score assessment, or view Class Results and Item Analysis results.

So, use the "Naiku Sign-in" assignment as your link to do a single-sign-on to Naiku.

Coming in the future...
We have asked Infinite Campus to add a more direct way to single-sign-on to Naiku. This is in the works. We'll update you when that single-sign-on option is released and available.
